What we thought

"This game is right up my alley, I love these kinds of high stakes, fast paced games where you're weaving in and out of tight corners and just a single screw up can result in you smashing into the walls and ending the race right there and then. The graphics are really nice and colourful and the music had a lot of memorable tracks that have stood the test of time. The only thing that lets the game down is the lack of a proper ending."

"This was an important release for the SNES, being an early example that showed off the system's Mode 7 graphics capabilities. The game is just so much smoother than a lot of the racers from this time, and that's really required for this kind of fast futuristic racer. The game was also one of the most important racers of this sub-genre, as whilst games such as Stun Runner already existed, this is what popularised them and influenced the designers of the Wipeout series among others."
