"I really enjoyed this, but to be honest I loved the concept behind it more than I did the actual gameplay, the fun in the game is just over too quickly. However, for what they could do in this era and with this hardware I think this is a fantastic game and you cannot understate that the game was sold for only £1.99 when new, huge value for money. I'd love to see someone take the concept and move forward with it with a modern outing." |

"There's a seed of a great idea in this game but I feel it was released in an era that was too early to fully do the concept justice. The problem is that in the beginning its a bit slow and unwieldy, with you getting stuck in dead ends and such, whilst at the end there's just no replay value because when you know where the items are you can just grab everything you need in no time. So the sweet spot with this game is just a short period in the middle when you're just starting to experiment with different items you've found and seeing what they do, this is when the game is cool. From the perspective of the AI for the computer controlled opponent though this is quite impressive for 1987, and obviously we have to take into account that this is a budget game so you can forgive it for being as short as it is." |
