What we thought

"I really enjoyed this, and not only did I enjoy playing it, but I actually enjoyed watching Rich play it as well! I just really can't think of anything even remotely similar to this, the game is original, its action packed, and its gameplay is very varied too. Getting through an especially difficult screen without having to use a robot-stop code affords a big sense of satisfaction. Brilliant game, just fantastic."

"This is a massive game for its era, an archetypal mid 80s action-adventure release that really pushed the C64 at the time and pioneered a lot of concepts. The game is full of ideas and has quite varied gameplay with a lot of focus on using observation to pass each screen. There's strategy involved in deciding when and when not to use the codes, and solving the puzzle piece sections require a lot of brainpower. The game also includes some early voice acting, almost unheard of in gaming at the time and many of these samples are now iconic parts of gaming history. Hands down one of the most important games released in that era."
