What we thought

"I really like the presentation in this game, the graphics and story scenes are both very good for the time (though due to an error in the developer's choices for Greek gods its a bit incestuous heh) but gameplay wise? Its very basic. There are no really impressive weapons or power-ups in the game to speak of, the developers pretty much just focused on making sure they'd done the gameplay correctly but added no extra bells and whistles."

"I feel like this is a fun game but it just doesn't do anything to set itself apart from the pack. The power-ups are a bit unimaginative, doing what they need to do but nothing more, and there's no real choice with them. You get powered up pretty quickly and the only time you stray from the same old Gradius-inspired power-ups is to pick up some time-limited weapons here and there. It does give you the choice of normal bullets or charge shots which adds a little to the gameplay but its a fairly minor point. The game does a reasonable job in all areas but just doesn't excel in any area bar the presentation, including lots of very nice cut scenes interspersed between the levels that move the game's story forward."
