"I really enjoyed the game, though honestly I think I enjoyed watching it and working out the puzzles as it progressed more than playing it myself as I was having some problems with the controls. The puzzles in the game actually also for the most part made sense, which often isn't the case during this era. As I said I enjoyed the game and I enjoyed the whole premise, unlike Rich I also liked the art design, I mean sure its not the best graphically or sonically for its time but I liked the quirkyness, such as the spaceship in the middle of your room and roast chickens attacking you and such!" |

"I think this is quite a clever game that doesn't quite get the credit it deserves to be honest, as this is really somewhat of a precursor to the later Metroidvania style games. The way that you have this huge environment to explore that gets opened up section by section as you solve puzzles (until finally jetting off to the moon) is something that wasn't commonly seen at the time, at least not in action games. Sound and graphics wise there's not a whole lot going on to be frank, but I do appreciate the attempt to create a cohesive environment to explore. I think the game does require you to draw your own map and note down objects but this is common for the era. Pyjamarama was quite influential here in Britain, I think the Dizzy series especially owes a debt to this game in a lot of ways." |
