What we thought

Chris

"This is an excellent game, its not going to be the best 1-player experience as I feel the game was built with the 2-player in mind but its just a great fun game to play with your mates. The music is absolutely brilliant and each piece of classical music fits the vehicle its with really nicely. Graphically it looks good for the time as well. I've decided not going to hold the weaker single player against it, if you can't get friends to play the game with you then you need to brush up on your social skills!"

"I think this is a cool little game, its a quirky game and they've come up with an original concept to an extent. I think graphically this is impressive for 1995, I mean obviously the frame rate isn't great but this is very early in the generation, PS1 and Saturn were only just arriving at this time. The sound quality was excellent here, great quality for the time with its Dolby Surround Sound and the classical music fits the game well. The crowning glory of the game is the 2-player mode though which is a lot of fun, there's lots of different elements to it with many tactics available, and I feel like the vehicles are also reasonably well balanced. On the negative I think the single-player probably needs some work, there's not a lot to it and there's no real structure, as such if you can't get friends to play the game with you then its going to be of limited enjoyment."
