What we thought

"This is an exhilarating game, getting the hang of the slight changes you need to make to get between the trees and also having to think about lining your shot up and curving left or right is quite engrossing, the game can get quite competitive too. In my opinion the difficulty curve here is actually quite good, it curves nicely and you feel the sense of achievement every time you get past a level and it gets faster and faster. The sound is a bit droning to begin with but when you're concentrating and zipping through those trees it really doesn't make a difference to you."

"I think this is quite an impressive and ambitious game for the year, bear in mind 1983 was still a time of simple arcade games like this where you don't expect the games to be as in-depth. The game has sort of a pseudo 3D perspective and I feel like it does work, you do get that sense of moving through a forest, you get a feeling of speed and when you're weaving in and out of the trees it's quite exciting. I think this game represents something that's really quite rare for 1983, I can't think of anything that competes with this in excitement and freneticness "
